St George’s Day is an important date in the Scouting calendar – a chance for all members to renew their Promise. At 2nd Cuddington, we like to do something a little different, so we took the opportunity to renew our promise as a group on the deck of HMS Warrior at the Historic Dockyards in Portsmouth. Once our short ceremony was complete, we all had the chance to go on a harbour boat tour, explore HMS Victory and the newly opened Mary Rose museum. If that wasn’t enough, so of us managed a quick visit to ‘Action Stations’, full of interactive exhibitions, a revolving climbing wall and helicopter simulator! It was a pleasure to welcome our County Commissioner Roxanna Bostock and District Commissioner John Jordan to present a number of awards too.
